China on Thursday launched its first space station's first core capsule module to compete with America in space.

China on Thursday launched its first space station's first core capsule module to compete with America in space. In the coming days, the rest of the space station will also be delivered to space through many similar launches. 

China plans to launch its first indigenous space station by the end of this year. So far only Russia and America have done such a feat. However, at this time only the International Space Station of the US space agency NASA is active.

China launched the space station's core capsule into space via a Long March-5B rocket from the Wenchang Space Launch Center. 

This was the second flight of Long March-5B. Bai Linhou, deputy chief designer of space at the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST), said the Tianhe module will serve as the management and control center of the space station Tiangong and has the facility to erect three spacecraft simultaneously.

What is the name of Chinese space station

China has named its space station as Tiangong. In Chinese, it means the palace of paradise. This multimodal space station will consist mainly of three parts, consisting of a space capsule and two labs. 

The total weight of all these will be around 90 MT. The space station's core capsule is named Tianhe, which means the harmony of heaven.

Chinese space scientists have claimed that this space station will start functioning by the end of this year. Its life span is estimated to be 15 years. The length of the Chinese core capsule is 4.2 meters and the diameter is 16.6 meters. 

The entire space station will be operated from this place. Astronauts will be able to control the entire space station while staying at this place. There will also be a place to do scientific experiment in this module. 

This capsule will have three parts of the connecting section, one in which there will be a life-support, second control section and third resource section.
